PadPilot is a macOS utility for using a Bluetooth game controller as a mouse, keyboard shortcut surface, and local dictation controller.
The current version was built and tested with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. It reads controller input through macOS's GameController framework via PyObjC, sends mouse events with pynput, maps buttons to clicks and keyboard shortcuts, and supports right-stick scrolling.
PadPilot also includes local dictation controls. A controller button can toggle recording or streaming transcription, then paste recognized speech into the focused app using a local Whisper-compatible command.
